Kings Ball

Anyway, I was actually thinking that for a local, evening competition one would have the entire morning free. Perhaps it gets spent on preparations that would otherwise be made the night before... but then the night before is free.

Of course, it's a well known fact that preparations always expand to fill 130% of the available time.

Well, you can sleep in for an evening comp..,. I've been running late for most local comps so usually I figure I need the whole day to get there compete adn come back...

trying to decide if we should go, but don't feel like going all the way to staten island if there will be only 3-4 couples...

well, basically you said here you wouldn't want to spend time on preparation... so the fact that you are not going would have little to do with where the comp is located. Funny though that you would go all the way to boston for Brown and you wouldn't consider going to staten island or newark or whatever for a local comp

what are the prices for the open standard at Kings Ball? Do competitors need to pay for entry to the ballroom?

Well, if the comp is 4 hours away or one hour away, it still takes the whole day. I wouldn't ahve gone to Brown if it was smaller.. I still might go to Kings ball, but I don't want to go to compete against 3 couples only... so local comp in NJ is still 2 hours away from my house... that's half the time it takes to go to boston.. so it is more complicated that just a walk to the venue...

I believe it is 30 per person and no ballroom entry fee, but I could be confusing it...

Looked like per couple it was $30 for prechamp WFQ, $20 to add the TVw, and $55 for champ. Not clear on ballroom entry. Also looks like there might be a late fee.

55 + 5 per person total for champ.. sot 65. no entry to the ballroom. If you registered I think a week ago you would get 5 off, but now i guess it will be 65 total..
