Looking at cleavage

As a female, I know that if I show cleavage, it's going to be looked at, particularly if it is staring a guy in the face while we are dancing. I'm not that clueless. So the way I see it, women who show cleavage and then get mad when people look are being hypocrites. Heck, even "I" can't help but look at cleavage when I see it, and I'm not even "into" women or anything like that. But my eyes just can't help but go there!

Hey, like I said...I wasn't angry or offended when the guy at the dance looked at my chest. I was just amused. Like I said, I don't mind admiring glances - but I have noticed that most other men have figured out how to be more subtle about it. It's just good manners not to stare at someone's body parts. I mean, sometimes I've admired a nice butt or abs on a guy, but I don't keep my eyes locked on it the whole time. ;)

I always try to look into my partner's eyes and not stare at anything else. But this was especially difficult last Saturday when I danced with an incredibly tall woman, I'm guessing over 6' + high-heels, and I'm only 5'6".

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in this thread I've already mentioned the "Balboa Rocks!" t-shirt for which I think I also posted the graphic -- short man dancing with a tall woman. I'll leave it as an exercise for the curious to hunt that one down themselves.

Married men (as I was for 28 years -- and I have the scars to prove it, too) develop useful skills. Such as improving one's peripheral vision. In a thread somewhere (also this one?) one woman described her husband's technique as "pan and scan".

No idea, of course, whether we're fooling anyone.

definitely not. But as I tell my husband, in the immortal words of a Jerry Springer guest, "Why would you want those, when you can have THESE?"

Don't you know? He's reminding himself every time of how lucky he is.

I just hate the staring

I think nobody deserves to be stared at, no matter how they look or what they're wearing. Although I admit it is sometimes difficult to keep my eyes where they're supposed to be.

But my biggest problem, because of my usual height, is remembering to look at parters at all, vs. looking over their heads. And I suspect that when I remember to tilt my head down to make eye contact, it could well appear that I'm looking at something else!

Whoa, dude! You were definitely in the kill zone.

Yes, husbands learn their survival skills well and very quickly.

Though it seems those same skills get in the way when you're suddenly single again.
