Looking for a regular dedicated Tango Leader (male 40-50yrs), in Sydney Australia in the Northern Beaches

Hi Everyone, gosh this sounds like a dating prerequisite, however honestly I'm looking for a regular dedicated male Tango Leader, to progress and practice my/our Tango skills and love of the dance further.
Someone preferably roundish 40-50yrs of age, heterosexual, I'm only stating fact I already dance with enough gay men, love all men however we need more men dancing and more of a balance of fun, dedicated, strong (mentally, physically and emotionally) heterosexual men (gosh can't wait to see some replies to my comments, before anyone accusing me of discriminating I'm not only stating fact).
Someone who would enjoy practicing, going to socials together on a regular basis at least once a week, to further our dancing skills etc
Currently I attend some tango social scenes and dance with some fabulous men, thank you. However I'm feeling the need that a regular practice with a regular dedicated partner along with still having the opportunity to dance with others would progress my dancing skills, technique, style and enjoyment for tango dancing more.
Preferably someone not married as I would not want to be seen as that tango dancing woman interrupting the man's family life.
If you're male and love to tango dance and think this might be something to include in your weekly schedule, reply at your earliest convenience.
Cheers and see you on the dance floor. xo Nicola xo

Um, so it's definitely not a date you're seeking, but you want them to be heterosexual, unmarried, in a 10-year age range, and it's for social dancing rather than practicas ...

Doesn't sound too unusual. Seen similar requests elsewhere for partners for dance courses and the like. Not to be mocked! More men are required. My wife's wakes up to her solution to the problem.

Hi Nicole, it is certainly helpful if you formulate your wishes clearly. But I believe that you cannot solve things here at a distance, at least you need a dance partner portal with a local focus or a localized service.
And in the end you have to go into "close combat" anyway.

Just to ask the question, what about taking private lessons, and pay the instructor to be a taxi dancer for an hour at a milonga, too?

Not speaking for the OP, but there are people who post things like "want someone to hike and kayak with ... open to progressing into a romantic relationship." Not everyone wants to start a relationship with high romantic expectations, but aim to enjoy a common interest and friendship as a good first step.

I think it is laudable she doesn't want to risk introducing friction into a married relationship. Remember, if the spouse is not already dancing, said spouse often will misunderstand how dance relationships work.

Nicola: A thought for you is to post on a dating site. You could state you are first looking for a dance partner. You would have a larger pool if you'd be willing to work with someone willing to learn.

It sounds like you want to grow your community. Do you have the skills to teach a class, maybe at the local community college? Head up a practica?

Hi Nicola and welcome to DF.
I doubt you can find a regular constant dance partner here. We philosophize and argue about technical subtleties here, but all of us are already rooted in our own communities, and they're mostly on the other side of the world (from your perspective).
I don't know anyone from Sydney who is actually contributing here. Maybe you could start a new thread about the agony with regular dance partners? Or about strategies for networking in the local scenes?
By the way, my best friend is from Sydney but lives in Hamburg, Germany. Whenever he flies home, he checks your local FB group. Are you already a member there? And sorry for bad news

Thanks with your replies, much appreciated. I definitely don't and won't post this kind of request? on a dating site because I'm not looking for a date when it comes to dancing. And I loath dating sites, there are more fakes than real profiles and I'm not wanting someone who is an immature Fabout who is messing people around. I really am looking for someone who is probably a little more experienced and more interested in Tango dancing than me, a strong respectful dancer to dance with on a regular basis. I have a 1-1 dance teacher at the moment however it isn't specifically for Tango and although he does that style of dance too, we also cover about 3-5 other styles of dance. And that finishes soon because in terms of cost that is something that I can not afford on a long term basis. I'm specifically looking for a Tango partner (he doesn't necessarily need to be a dance teacher probably better if he isn't) who would like to learn, practice certain steps, moves and create whole full complete Tango routines and then also attend socials.
This is purely a dancing partner requirement.
Cheers and happy 2023. xNicolax

Nicole? Nicola

Is there no 'dance partner' site in Australia? I know one social AT dancer in the UK has a listing on one of the UK sites for a practice partner, but I guess most are looking for ballroom for competition.

... specifically looking for a Tango partner (he doesn't necessarily need to be a dance teacher..
Ok, then let's get down to business. I was talking about networking. You have to be visible on several levels. 1) Have privates with a good tango teacher (fire your current one). 2) Be present at the hip milongas in Sydney, even if you don't feel ready for it yet. 3) Take a beginner or unskilled leader and go to prácticas with him. It is important that people see you. The opportunity will come that an adequate dance partner will appeal to you.

And yes I post on this site because there is no such dance forum virtual communication area in Sydney Australia, yes there's FaceBook groups (that I am member of) and the Tango online schedule however that is it. This portal area seemed a little more professional, informative, serious yet fun towards dancing and specially Tango dancing.
And I have been attending a few Tango social scenes in Sydney however no such opportunity of a potential regular dance partner yet.
Cheers
