Last festival I was at was Mallorca 2 or 3 years ago. A pal hooked me up with a beginner leader after he was dumped by his partner. As a solo follower I was happy to do a couple of workshops instead of lounging around and waiting for the afternoon milonga.
My life-partner doesn’t dance tango. I don’t think he’d mind if I traveled with a dance partner but I would definitely find it strange. Especially if it was just myself and a man sharing an apartment. Definitely smells of an affair. However, traveling alone or with a group seems totally fine.

I was lucky enough to start tango as a single leader. So all these aspects of festivals and tango vacations really were fun!
