New York Dance Festival, Feb 25

Just a comment - this was a really great comp. The energy was fantastic all day long. The heats were full, the venue was historic, wild and had great lighting on the floor. Congrats to Eddie and Michelle! I was looking forward to NYC, fabric shopping and hoping for a nice comp. I received a lot more than that.

Another note - there are an incredible number of brand new dancers competing. I think we are beginning to see the tv show effect. They are a little wide eyed and scared but I saw a lot of great dancing this weekend.

well, the good news was: i met Larinda and Mamboqueen. MQ and I had a lovely time shoving pizza down our necks... at one point in the evening i realized i hadn't eaten for like 12 hours, and i had to consume mass quanitites immediately, the hurricane-like conditions on 8th avenue notwithstanding.

echoing what dressgirl said - i liked the venue too. intimate. felt somehow.. european? i'm not sure why i felt that way, but i did. no freaking plastic palm trees or nouveau riche hotel ballroom finery. i HATE that crap.

He was there. It seems like if U are going to be there U would dance. So then they are not together anymore?

Well, maybe his partner is away, maybe she's sick, there are many reasons why someone might decide not to dance.

The pizza was great...even though we barely got to taste it. Next time, we'll have to wash it down with something more exciting. It was great to finally meet you ;)
