You're welcome everybody. I was very impressed with all the dancing last weekend. Wasn't very thrilled that I had to dance against Ithink and some others... but it only makes you a stronger dancer to compete agaist good people I guess

but you and kayla are quite the 6 dancer! I should have kicked your legs for latin.

ha, future 10 dance finalists I hope. at least that's what we decided our goal would be, so now we have something concrete to work towards. We love the syllabus 6 dance event. I wish there were more events like it out there. Few people take the time to learn the basics in both Latin and Standard. It's nice that there is a place where you can showcase that commitment. We actually won most of the dances in the latin section. Hopefully we can win take the standard portion as well in October. I love Reeves and Brooke, but I have to take away the top spot from them in Standard! ha ... and hopefully no other better 10 dancers come out...

Hi Anyone who Danced at Summer Sizzler,
If you joined or renewed your USA Dance Membership last weekend at the Summer Sizzler, make sure you bring your receipt (I am assuming you were given one) to Nationals!
The reason for this is timing...it's possible that even though you paid in New Jersey, that your membership record won't be updated by Nationals.
If I don't have a record of your USA Dance membership when you check-in at Nationals, I will have to make you pay again -- unless you have a receipt that you can show me. And yes, I am going to be firm on this! Bring me proof!

i watched the videos last night and was shocked that Daniel and Anastasia didn't make the semi-final. there wasn't a lot of footage on them, but the little bit shown wasn't disastrous or anything. so based on how they danced previously, they should have made the semi easily.
what happened? did the judges just miss them because they're small and placed in a much stronger heat?
how often have they competed? were they unkown to the judges?
