Nuevo-able tunes

OK, How about: You Never Give Me Your Money, by The Beatles

Well I've never actually heard that track before : but it's one for our time, isnt it?!

I've been working on a Beatles tanda actually : need possibly a fourth tune : have the following so far -

Come Together (either Beatles or the Fab Again version)
Dont Let me Down
Here there and Everywhere (probably the Emmylou Harris version)

You guys made my day. Thank you. :)

I have to insert a worshipful bow for my partner. :notworth: He is the one responsible for infecting me with the tango disease and for teaching me the foundation of everything I know. Am still learning... he never ceases to amaze me. (Don't tell him I said that. I don't want him to get the big head. Oh crud, he reads these boards. Man...)

aach dont like the beatles with a couple of exceptions: Eleanor Rigby for instance

I've wanted to dance to "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails for the longest time. Alas, I think my chances of dancing to that are close to nothing.

i would add Television's "Venus" from Marquee Moon just for the irony of the lyrics

" I fell right into the arms
of the Venus de Milo"

Nice ;)

Returning to the Beatles theme, I did buy a CD by the "Liverpool Project" when I was in BA. It was Beatles tunes done in a tango style. I now understand they have done another CD for the Rolling Stones. Has anyone heard either of these CDs, and if so what did they think?

Der Panther; I have never danced to this but it came on a tango compilation from a friend and if nothing else the Poem by Rilke is worth it.

The Panther

His gaze, going past those bars, has got so misted

with tiredness, it can take in nothing more.

He feels as though a thousand bars existed,

and no more world beyond them than before.

Those supply powerful paddings, turning there

in tiniest of circles, well might be

the dance of forces round a center where

some mighty will stands paralyticly.

Just now and then the pupils' noiseless shutter

is lifted. - Then an image will indart,

down through the limbs' intensive stillness flutter,

and end its being in the heart.

[Rainer Maria Rilke]
