Nuevo-able tunes

B Tangoman: "Did you know there's a version called Gran Hotel California by Trio Garufa?"

Yes, I got the CD "Tango En El Mate", I bought it whenethey were here umm ...about 3 years ago.

But I still like to play the original specially when the dance floor is packed to make some people rest a little bit.

Heh. Just got a cd from a friend the other day, and I can't help but think that one of the tracks could make a really fun (if bizarre and challenging) milonga.

M.I.A.'s Boyz

Leonard Cohen "I'm Your Man"
Bryan Ferry "Which Way to Turn"
Saint Etienne "Only Love Can Break Your Heart"
Serge Gainsbourg "Année Érotique"
Serge Gainsbourg "Nostalgie Camarade"

Here's a couple other Alternative ones that I like.

Careless Whisper (AKA, "I'm never gonna dance again")
by George Michael

Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me
by Elton John

or "A thousand kisses deep" or "Here it Is"

or Roxy Music "Bogus Man" version on "Viva" album (live)
