This Topic really pains me! :cry:


Please people, don't drink from the bottle at the clubs! Get your beer in glasses or something... It looks sooooo unlady like.


Salseras should be classy women! Women who not only dress sexy, act sexy... and drinking from a bottle is NOT sexy! Those players or nasty guys will tell you it is, but take it from me and the rest of the guys, it is NOT sexy. It's actually very nasty...


I hope some of you change your ways.

I'm glad you brought them up cuz I've tried the best Mojitos in the world at EL FLORIDITA in L.A. Meng, they're good!

I think part of the issue is that bottles are harder to spike with roofies. Smaller opening, ya know? But hey what do *I* know. Heh.

Seriously, tis better to have one decent STRONG drink than to have 4 beers over the course of the night. And please don't use that cheap-ar&e liquor either. Make it the good stuff or nothing.

As for mojitos, the best I've ever had was at this place in St. Augustine. The Columbia restaurant. Oh My Lord. Good thing I didn't know I was expecting at that point. They also make a wicked Sangria.

I've been told that by a couple of people actually. I personally like bottles so that I can rip the label slightly and know for sure that it's mine (works with beer/ malted beverages like hard lemonade/ water). Normally I'm only going to have one drink in a night, so it'll be something strong... but if I just don't feel up to it and I do have a drink in a bottle, I tend to leave it in the bottle.

Well, since I've never seen *women* drinking beer.... All I can go on is my own experience.

I guess I'm still missing the problem with drinking from a bottle (whatever the beverage may be).....

Not that big of an issue for me, but I guess we all have our pet peeves. I prefer a lady who drinks lightly or not at all.

What's the big deal about drinking from a bottle?

(I started to apologize for this next comment but deleted it. I'm holding on to my views of what is offensive and challenging those who think it's o.k. to be this way.)

It's a little hard to really be concerned with impressing someone who, in one felled swoop, uses a picture of Michael Jackson as their avatar and makes a bigoted comment about a drink being "gay". I wasn't aware that drink choice has been defined based on a person's sexual orientation. Is the drink gay or is the person drinking it? How did that comment not get edited by the moderators? I'm also guessing you condone Michael Jackson's acts because you are using his image to represent yourself. How's THAT for being judgemental?

DF is a place where discrimination is frowned upon. Can you please think before you type? Or at least save it for your next triple K meeting.

If you notice, it's the black Michael Jackson that's in my avatar. I loved that guy! Many on D-F did, I'm sure. If you do a search of the forum there are so many threads about him. He's a "Great Dancer" ... let's give him that. He was so "bad" back in those days! But that MJ is no longer with us... :cry:

About the slang on the drinks... well, it's just a slang. And about your question on if it was referred to the drink or the person drinking it, you can read the line again and realize what it was referred to.

I drink beer, and when I'm in a club, I usually drink it from the bottle because the glasses are usually dirty (because men are usually washing the dishes).

Sorry, DM, I have to resort to beer (but you know, the high-end stuff) because (a) I wake up at 3:00 a.m. and can't get back to sleep on any other kind of alcohol, and (b) if I don't finish my bottle, it's all my 7-year old daughter will drink. :twisted: (just kidding)

P.S. The "gay" reference is completely unnecessary and inappropriate. I'm sure if you had a loved one who was gay, you would be less inclined to use it in a derogatory fashion.
