They have never e-mailed me a password. I can't login at all. I'll have to contact them and find out what's going on.

I love all the clips...have seen more of them now :D . The sad things is that I know realize my own limitations

And Africana you are so right about the coreographed show *_karibe.wmv . That is why I almost never watch performances at video. They are so artificial (this was an exception). I love to watch the socialdance you have given me so many examples of. Thank you!

cool Luc 8)
Don't worry, there's always something new to learn from other dancers, and it never ends, that's what keeps this dance so exciting and fun IMO

Did you spel your e-mail adress correct?

I'm pretty sure I did. I tried it a second time with the same user name and e-mail. It said there was already someone listed. So I tried a third time using a different user name and an alias address (different address, same mail box. Don't ask. Blame verizon.) But still no reply. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Going back to the original post, I have to say that I really like the clip of Pablo and Wilmarie. I bookmarked it a couple months back. I like it because it is different than many of the other styles that I've seen. There is a playfulness that makes the dance fun (to watch).

I don't know if Wilmarie is in any perfromance group or anything, but hers is the clip that I linked to in the stealing partners thread. She's the one who initiated the partner switch. From that clip and the the clip with her and Pablo, it seems to me that she's more about really feeling the music than trying to be super technical in her dance. It's actually refreshing to watch.

:o Oh, this is the same lady in the partner steal clip! Didn't realise that. Yes her playfulness is a delight to watch. :D

So africana, if you're still talking to me   , one of those dances last night was one of these playful, improvizational, interactive dances. It was really cool! She would keep throwing different stuff in like extra turns or put the dance on pause, and other stuff. I couldn't really tell you everything but we adapted to each other pretty well. Then during a change in the music we both freestyled, It's amazing how ballroom has improved my freestyle, ironically. then when the music changed again we went back to dancing together. We both enjoyed the dance. And she was one I was able to be passionate about!

Have I mentioned that I'm enjoying salsa?

(teehee I bet you're adorable  and why wouldn't i talk to you ?)
sounds like great fun tacad, everyone has their own version of passion I guess, whatever works for you and partner

and glad to hear that it wasn't homogenously "passionate" and "gyratin" with every woman you danced with  :P

Last night I also had

But cool was not the right word. It was exciting, amusing and FUN!

The leader I danced with is an expert in this playful way of dancing. He is a joker, a teaser, a flirter, a lover and a magician at the same time. I will never get enough of him...well that was not correct  ....I will never get enough of his dance  :D

A friend of mine asked me afterwards if I was a bit tipsy. Yes indeed I was ....but not beacuse of alcohole.
