How does this keep sneaking up on me... I literally told someone yesterday evening that we are going to a competition in 2.5 or 3 weeks. Umm no - just checked my spreadsheet where I calculate how long until/since certain events and we are 1.5 weeks away. GAH! Hope I have everything because it's too late to trust online orders, and I better start packing soon.

You've totally got this! You've got your packing system down cold. You could probably pack in your sleep, or while watching wrestling. Best of luck in the upcoming comp! It'll be fun.

omg I thought mine was close in 6 weeks! (Have a studio showcase to prepare for before then too oof). I'm usually not one to schedule so close but my pro is going to graduate school so no telling when the next comp might be. Gotta do all the things before he leaves!

OK this is hilarious because as a matter of fact I am watching wrestling right now (replay of an event from yesterday, after watching a different live event today) and after reading that I had a nano-second where I thought "should I be packing right now?" lol

Ha I’m the opposite - I have a competition in mid-July and I’m like it’s coming up so soon! And it’s like six weeks away
I'm not competing... and this morning I had a nightmare that I was at the comp with no hair and make up appointment. I was out of my mind with panic and some woman at a long table said, "Don't worry. Have this box of little ribbons. That will fix it." She handed me a box filled with a bunch of small bows in multiple colors. I said, "You don't under stand! You don't understand." In a very calming tone, she repeated that the bows would fix things.
I was not consoled.

OK hope I jinx myself here with my public panic (will it work if I'm this forthcoming about my intentions):
Just got an email today from the hair/makeup vendor with whom I requested an appointment for upcoming comp. She has done my hair/makeup before and been good. At the time I noticed she was not listed on the comp website as a vendor (still is not) and mentioned it to her, but she referred me to her own website, and I filled out the online form and got the confirmation email.
Today I got an email (the mass marketing email, not a personalize one) and the comps listed in the email do not include my upcoming comp, and mine is also not included on her website anymore. I just texted her (ok like 30 minutes ago, which is not an eternity) and am awaiting a response. How long do I wait before I attempt to book with a vendor who IS listed (if no response). ARGH.

I trust the Google search AI concludes that small hair bows are the solution to all hair problems.
Not to be forgotten: This was also a solution for the make up problem.
OK it sort of worked but not after subjecting me to low-level anxiety for a few hours. All is well, she has confrimed a stylist will be there. I suspect she is partnering/trading with another vendor because.. well not going to leave a clue but I think this crisis may be averted.

I hear ya! I booked my hair & makeup appointment with Boyko before I even paid the studio for my Manhattan entry package. (Fingers crossed they’ll do it like I ask for, based on the pics I show them of exactly how they’ve done it before; rather than how they *think* I should want it done.)
And I cracked up at the “if you have a spreadsheet” comment above, because @IndyLady and I both are somewhat obsessive about spreadsheets.
