Question to Leaders about Followers

I am somewhat sorry for resurrecting an older thread, but I can't resist commenting on this. It was too much fun to dilute my thought process how I choose my partners for a tanda. I'll preface I care more about the MUSIC than which followers I have available to me. I like to think I don't care about age when choosing a partner either, because I'm only at a milonga to dance.
I don't think we have much leeway when it comes to choosing dance partners, but rather that our minds are very creative when it comes to finding reasons. But reflection is of course good.

For me, attractive women are attractive, so statistically, by definition, I have a normal disposition. That doesn't mean that I would repeat an unpleasant tanda in a timely manner. And of course there are also many other criteria, especially whether a tanguera would like to dance with me.

There are thousands of tracks on my DJ laptop and subsequently on my smartphone, I've already listened to tango for two hours before lunch today - because of my love for music, I don't necessarily have to go to a milonga.

I also take into account the social context in which I am currently moving. Today there is a local NYE milonga in a premium location with a premium DJ. So, in addition to the usual obligations, I will also try to give the tangueras who have travelled the feeling that this was a good choice. Somewhere it's about showing that our tango association has the resources to organize a "Grand Milonga". E.g. in a few months we will have the "Cuarteto Rotterdam" live here, then we will need that reputation.
