Studios in NYC

Hi All,

Forgive the thread resurrection but I have a similar, but slightly different question.

My wife and I both dance here in London (International Ballroom and Latin) and are both around Silver level. We will be in New York next week on holiday flying in on Sunday (Easter day) and flying out on Saturday evening. We will be staying in downtown Manhattan.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a social or one off group class we could attend while we were State-side? Obviously we'd prefer a more Standard leaning social (since neither of us know any Smooth or Rhythm) but if it was a group class we'd be interested in learning some basic American style for variety or we could simply join in a Standard class for one week.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have. I regularly lurk on these forums and rarely post but the depth of knowledge here is fantastic.

For Standard group classes, Snejana teaches some nice figure-based classes at Dancesport at 34th between 6th and 5th in Manhattan last time I checked. There are also Standard classes at Stepping Out Studios at 26th and 6th, though those rooms tend to be smaller.
