Show tapings have been moved to Tuesday evenings now. This has been done to apparently give the dancers more time to learn/practice/fine tune their routines prior to taping and also to cut down on injuries. Spoilers should be popping up in a few hours as the show's taping right about now.

It looks like we're getting two Shane Sparks routines tomorrow night. Hok Konishi (Season 3) will be in the audience. Gotta love Twitter.

SPOILERS from someone who attended tonight's taping. I'm only going to list the guest judge, the dance styles and choreographers. I'm not including the audience member's opinions and other notes which are referenced in the link below.

Evan and Randi - Jive by Louis van Amstel
Ade and Melissa - Jazz by Sonya Tayeh
Jason and Caitlin - Hip Hop by Shane Sparks
Brandon and Janette - Disco
Vitolio and Asuka - Waltz by Louis van Amstel
Max and Kayla - Pop Jazz by Brian Friedman
Jonathan and Karla - Contemporary by Stacey Tookey
Philip and Jeanine - (American?) Tango by Tony Meredith
Kupono and Ashley - Hip Hop by Shane Sparks

Didn't Brian Friedman used to be the kiss of death? Like only way a couple get less luck, would be if he could choreograph a quickstep?

I am thinking waltz by Louis Van Amstel is gonna be quite "deathly" too. Why they keep using him for smooth choreo I'll never understand.

Agree. I'm not actually in the know in what the previous choreographers specialized in, and so please correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't Hunter Johnson, Jean-Marc Generaux or Michael & Toni Redpath be better suited to choreograph smooth routines?

I believe that you are thinking of Dan Karaty (whose choreography I think is ghastly).

Brian Friedman is amazing!

Maybe, but I thought drawing him kept putting people in bottom 3. Ehhh, maybe I am thinking of Dan Karaty. I don't know. I do remember loving Brian's giant necklaces.

Melissa & Ade- I suppose it was well danced, but I really didn't care for it. It's very rare that I like Sonja's choreography though.

Jason & Kaitlyn- not good. Especially Kaitlyn.

Janette & Brandon- ugh, more Doriana. But not bad, considering it's a Doriana routine. With those two, I'd have thought she'd have had more lifts than she did.

Sometimes Lil C makes sense and seems quite wise in his comments. Sometimes he just puts together some multi-syllable words and not a lick of it makes sense.

Vitolio & Asuka- Ok, practice scene was kind of ironic with Vitolio crying and Louis playing with the stereo in the background after Louis talked about how moving Vitolio's story was. So the performance was just sooooo ackward. And Mary crying... Just not getting it.

Kayla & Max- So it's time for a Brian Friedman story.... Once again probably danced well, but I'm just not that into it. As for the costumes, let me say that I wore hammer pants in the late 80s/early 90s/whenever that was the thing. But there's no reason to wear them since the turn of theh century, especially with a corset if you're a guy.
