Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I'll probably be recording it so pardon me if I don't talk about it tomorrow...

(8pm, right?)

Yeah I saw a trailer for a second season. I thought it was canceled...did it get resurrected?

-shocked expression-
I'll see that and raise you another :shock::shock: Those last few minutes...oh my.

It was never canceled. It was on the bubble for a while but the renewal order came in around May so I'm very, very glad that it's back! :D

My recording got screwed up, but we watched the episode online on Fox.com last night. Whoa.

Whatever the bio-material on the Terminators is, it must be very flame-resistant.

including the hair, apparently :p
Seriously. I would've thought that Cameron would've had to pull a Cromartie and rebuild herself from the exoskeleton, skin and forward. But I guess the producers didn't want to be without Summer Glau for 2 or more episodes and let her survive mostly intact. ;)

Has it been shown whether or not the bio-material on Terminators has (self) healing powers? Or are injuries basically permanent?

From what we've seen, the old Ahnold model could not heal. As his bio-material took damage, it began to decay.

Cameron is a more advanced model. She also eats, which may indicate that she's able to nourish her bio-material, thus keeping it alive and probably enabling it to heal. After all, John had to cut through her scalp again to get to her chip, which indicates that it had healed.

Though, yeah, I had also expected her to have taken a lot more damage than that.

Self-healing over time for minor injuries. More severe ones require the use of a staple gun as Cameron demonstrated.

Rather, her use of staples was like our use of sutures, intended to close the wound so that it can start to heal. Though her more immediate concern was more likely to modify her appearance in order to blend in better, that being a basic part of their programming.
