OK everyone, let's support Me's Bling Boob fund! :p Or send her your orphaned rhinestones!

I think with bling-ed accessories (choker, bracelets/arm bands) and maybe stoning more heavily along the waistline in a belt-like fashion will balance this out nicely. Or it might look totally OK on the floor. I've seen dancers with unstoned dresses, and their accessories and/or a bling boob or two makes it snap.

p.s. I see you're a lot like me.... when I stone I have a really difficult time being random and asymmetric. I need some kind of pattern!

"bling boobs" LOL!!! I've got to tell my partner that. :D

SPratt that is so sweet of you to plug my jewelry to uh... me? :D I'm happy that you like it. Good references like yours might help me sell a piece or two, which goes into my bling boob fund. ;D

Well you are welcome, and sometimes word of mouth is a great way to sell things. We all know dancers even if they aren't here on DF. If they need something and I know of someone that has it, I'll tell them.

Thanks everybody for the compliments on my dress. ;) I do plan to stone it out a bit more, as the 'bling boob' does make it look a bit sparce. If I had had more time, I would have used blue stones instead of the ab crystals on the drapes... so I'm considering filling out the drapes with a blue stone that blends into the cloth but still sparkles. Or I might use the rest of the crystal ABs I have. Not sure yet!

I like the stones that you have now. But that's what is fun about making your own things, because you can customize them to suit your own need! That's why I wanted to learn more about fashion, and have done so since starting dance. ;)

What did you use for the bra? It looks like some sort of ****l? or is that just the color and lighting playing a trick on my eyes?

what did u do about the bra in the back? I'm half-making my own latin costume this summer (I bought skirt and I'm going to buy the bra, but the embellishments and a drape will be added by me), and my biggest problem is the bra. I found several belly dancer's tutorials which give some great advice for embellishments on the bra, but I'm worried about the back.

I'm making the dress for a showcase, so the bra will really need to stay put for lifts. Did you alter the back? I'm considering replacing the back straps so it doesn't look like a store bought bra. The costumes which I have bought always have a hook and eye at one corner of the bra, and I always sew it shut just in case. I'm probably just going to do that.
