I don't know if semantics is the right word... then again, maybe it is. Semantics is the study of meaning. Maybe I'm saying I don't know what you led, and you're saying you don't know what Lead *meant* to lead. In which case, we're saying the same thing.Maybe this is semantics, then. Yes, outside of classes we generally only know what happened, not what was intended. But I would say that I don't necessarily know what was led, because I might not have kept my frame connected well enough, or be familiar enough with a shape to reproduce it.
That must be interesting. I started taking lessons and classes as a lead, it has been very interesting indeed.Just, like, you know... for the record... I take group and private lessons as a follow, and have gone to workshop weekends for following and switching. Depending on the night, I might follow or switch for more dances than I lead.
