Time or money...

I have the same problem. i'd love to have the time to do landscaping, grow a garden, plant some seasonal flowers. when! when! when!

right now my yard is all overgrown. but then again i'm not willing to pay someone to come and take care of it. i guess that's a yard priority though.

For me, it was a matter of pride. I REFUSED to pay someone, based on the "pride" of doing for oneself. However, i redefined doing for oneself to include being ABLE to pay someone to do my more uninteresting tasks so that I could concentrate on something I enjoyed more. Now, my lawn gets done, the guy that does it gets a bit more, I don't have to mess it with, and everyone is happier!

That's why we pay people to do minuscule tasks so we can spend our time doing more meaning things - like dancing  !

Wasn't it Mother THeresa said something about finding love even in the smallest things? I remmeber reading somthing like that..I think yesterday...hmmm.

I'm not sure. I suspect there's a truly profound answer to this one ... too bad I don't know what it is.

I've been broke and had time on my hands. I've been flush and short on time. Not sure which one's better. :?

Agree with you here, as I mentioned at the beginning here, this is such a difficult tradeoff
