I bought some weights for building arm strength but only feel the burn on my triceps. anyone has had experience with this exercise?

well...I disagree a tad....endurance is a matter of strength to some extent with regard to being able to hold the arms up for a long period of time...however, that is not what is usually required at a comp....unless you consider 12 minutes or so to be daunting...and I agree that muscle memory is important in term of how one holds one's arms for that duration
