What ever happened to calculator watches. They were all the rage then nothing! The power of a computer on your wrist...and stylish too! :p

I only ask because I saw someone wearing one yesterday. I won't say the country of origin nor their occupation but it brought me back :o
 
I still see fancy watches around, with all those extra functions. Are you referring to those, or to just calculator watches?
 
I'd still be wearing a Casio Databank (handier for holding phone numbers than for the calculator itself), but they started making the cases so thin and cheap that they'd fall apart after a few months (weak point was the band-pin mooring). The watch had a warranty, but none whatsoever for the case. Since I couldn't see the use of buying a brand-new watch every six months or so and reprogramming each and every phone number into it all over again from scratch, I bailed out to a Timex Data-Link (metal case!), but they're no longer being manufactured, so when that one breaks, I have no idea what I'm going to do.
 
I haven't seen one of these in forever! Thanks for the trip down memory lane...

Speaking of watches and memories, anyone seen a "swatch" lately? I can't even really remember what they are...something like a watch where you can change out or "swap" the face, band, and covers.

They will be back. Like Care Bears, Srawberry SHortcake, Hello Kitty and the like.... Just watch out when the Smurfs make a come-back....

Yes oh yes I remember the Swatch Watch. And it's knockoff cousing by Armitron. I had a slew of the Armitron ones as a preteen.

And the neon clothes.... And Jem and the Holograms.... SHEESH I'm dating myself now....

Neon clothes...those actually came back in style on and off over the past couple of years. Gotta love the brights!

Jem... I loved Jem! If I look really hard through my keepsake boxes I probably still have a barbie doll of her.

Holograms...I used to have a million hologram stickers. I collected unicorn stuff and there were these little books that came with unicorn hologram stickers. I bet I had a million!


How about shrink-e-dinks? Anyone remember?
 
Never had any of that stuff. Never even had a Rubick's cube...Hated Smurfs for some reason, maybe too dorky...Had a mood ring in junior high, back when those were popular...
