I liked the third season a lot and Cheryl Burke is so fantastic!

I thought season 8 was overall the best in terms of dancing talent and 'competition'. There were 4 really good dancers (Shawn Johnson, Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft and Li'l Kim), all of whom would have made worthy champions, plus the biggest improvement of any celebrity I've ever seen on DwtS - Ty Murray. The change Chelsie was able to work in that guy from week 1 to week 2 was nothing short of miraculous.
Julianne is definitely my favorite pro, I feel like there's something missing when she's not there.
Also, I wish the producers would mix it up a little more with the assignments. What I mean by that is that Derek Hough should be first in line for the next Cloris Leachman while Jonathan Roberts richly deserves a hottie who can dance. Tony, Karina and Anna T.-R. have also gotten the shaft more than their fair share of the time.

I stopped watching, after a while. (Probably shouldn't admit that here.) The show's about popularity and a bunch of other things that have nothing to do with dance. By the end of the first season, my naivete was gone. So every season since has been less ... fulfilling.

Season 2 with Drew Lachey was def my favorite.... followed by season 4 (i believe it was) with Apolo and Joey Fatone.
Drew Lachey was def my fav celebrity of all time... he was funny and although he didnt have the most natural talent that season, he certainly was the most hardworking, which is why i am glad he won! I <3 his "save a horse ride a cowboy" freestyle... i saw when he and cheryl went on tour and loved it then too!
My fav pros has varied a lot over the seasons... first it was cheryl for her choreography and teach method, then Julianne for her choreo and skill, then Derek for his choreo but then started to not like his attitude... then MArk ballas for his great personality... its just an emotional roller coaster with the pros on this show! lol... If i had to absolutely choose RIGHT NOW, i'd say Tony because he has been a great coach for me personally... i also love Karina and really miss her on the show!

I agree with all of this, except that my favorite pro is Anna T. I do enjoy Julianne, too, but not as much. And yeah, Jonathan deserves the ringeriest ringer that ever rang next time.

My favorite seasons were:
1st place--Season 3--Emmitt Smith vs. Mario Lopez.
2nd place--Season 5--Helio C. vs. Mel B., and just a LOT of good dancing and good choreography.
I like it when there are two or three serious contenders and you can imagine it going either way. Keeps it interesting.

Purr, These are all of my favorites too! Although i think my fav of Apolo and Julianne is their cha cha to "Push it"... makes me laugh everytime... they looked like they had so much fun!

Sambanada, yes, that's the season that had the suspenseful Stacy-Drew-Jerry combination. Definitely my favorite season--I loved it!
Meanwhile, I have several all-time favorite participants. I have to include Emmitt Smith with Cheryl Burke (who I adore, and appreciate that she's from the lovely SF Bay Area town of Atherton, California)...
I loved how Emmitt progressed, including with Waltz--which he came to love after initial ambivalence...
Another pair that comes to mind that I remember fondly is Mario and Karina...
I voted for Season 2, as I loved the final 3--especially Drew!
