A) I don't have a time machine.

Something similar happened to me yesterday afternoon. I had a meeting originally scheduled for today at 1:00. Organizer sent an update over lunch yesterday re-scheduling it for 5:00 that afternoon. I was like nope, nope, and nope, as my calendar already showed me as out of office from 5:00 on (DH and I had tickets to a concert) so declined. She asked for a status update instead and I provided one in an email.

At 4:07, I received an updated meeting invite that the meeting was now at 4:00 (i.e. already in progress). Hello? I was in the middle of something so I finished that up and joined around 4:15. Ugh.

Termites. Let the tenting begin. Enough said.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear this. It's bad enough that they have to tent? We had termites in our previous house once, but we caught it early and it was only in one wall. They were able to treat that and we never had a problem again.

Well, although we escaped to San Luis Obispo during termite tenting, coming back and reloading the kitchen food items, cutting open double bagged items, restocking medicine is a PAIN, should have just moved!!! But hey, at least it’s taken care of, everything repaired, and under a care contract for some years to come, poor outdoor landscaping took a hit, looks like a ghost town in our yard from the heat wave and no water while gone. Well.....here comes exercising my gardening muscle I haven’t used all year. Arrggghhhhhhh

And now my car needs new brakes. Sigh. Hopefully my kettle dying was the 3rd major repair/replace (because things come in threes)... 'cause I cannot handle another repair/replace that stretches into 4 digits without completely losing my sh*t.

Silver lining: the "your brakes are completely gone" did not happen during the 10 hour roadtrip to or from comp 2 weeks ago. Thank goodness we are all safe.

Just learned that I grew into allergies. While I knew that could happen I never thought it would happen to me. I guess on the bright side it's driven me to deep clean my apartment...

I think I had norovirus last week. I got sick Thursday afternoon and was unable to get out of bed Friday. Some muscles in my abdomen are still sore from heaving. I thought it was food poisoning, but now DW has it and she's experiencing the same symptoms. :( She thinks two other ladies that she works with have had it in the past week.

My favorite practice dress was just ruined by one of my dogs. I guess he managed to like the taste of my sweat on it... mouthed it and tore it to shreds. :(

I'm glad he's OK and didn't actually EAT it, but I'm still mad at him.

is there enough unmangled bits to make into a practice Latin skirt?! you know, a really skimpy one with the chewed bits as dangles?!!
Sorry. I get it - reminds me of when my dog ate the elastic off my fav riding boots. I was really mad too.

But I can't stop imagining the resultant skirt.....

Unfortunately he first went for the crotch of the underlying bodysuit... And then down one of the arms through the pit...

It might make for some kinky lingerie now.
