That's mine, then there is non-dance music. If the dance CDs are always growing much faster then the non-dance music. :)

Is there such a thing as non-dance music? :?: :?: :?:

Well I'll dance to any sort of music, BUT...there is music that fits a dance style and those that don't, or not to a dance style that I am fond of...so that is in the Sagitta "non-dance" category.

You sneak in dance steps while you're shopping at the grocery store when the aisle is clear. You're especially addicted if you don't care if there are other is the aisle as you dance smooth with the shopping cart as your partner.
LMAO..that is soo me

this thread is great!!!

Okay here's mine.. you know you're addicted to dancing when

- You start choreographing phrases to the theme song of Blue's Clue's, Dora The Explorer...etc

-When you start teaching a 9 month old baby the moves that you made up.

-When the 9month old baby turns 14mnths and still remembers the moves.

-When you get depressed that you might end up getting married to some who doesn't know how and love to dance

-When you learn 90% of the choreography of every music video or show u watch

You see that comment and start thinking, "So long as I can count my Latin dance steps to it, no......."

When you get in a car accident on your way to practice, total your car, have it towed to your house, call your partner to pick you up at home, and go practice...

Yeah, well I can tell that I'm going to be *really* sore tomorrow, my back aches, my knee feels a bit tweaked, and I can see that I'm not walking entirely straight at the moment…hopefully all things that my chiropractor can help straighten out tomorrow afternoon.

As far as practicing, my old partner (Janelle) and I are reprising out old Rhythm routines for a comp here on campus in 3 weeks. Given that we only started working on this a little over a week ago, and that we haven’t done these routines or competed in almost two years, we needed the practice. More than this though, psychologically I *really* needed to go dance with her…

 I'm glad to hear that you're okay SD! But, *smiles* ah, the mark of true devotion! =^__^= I probably would have done the same thing (provided that I had a real partner -- I'm assuming that this is either a competition thing or something you've formed through your years of dance. I only dance with my teacher, which isn't a bad thing!  ) much to the dismay of my parents...

Did you get hit from the front (in your car)? If you did, and your knee hit the dashboard, you could have a PCL (Posterior-Cruciate-Ligament) injury. :) Sorry, that's a bit of my Sports Med. terminology/knowledge being put to use there.... I hope you don't mind my mentioning it. It's nothing terribly serious, like an ACL (Anterior-Cruciate-Ligament) tear (I'm sure you knew what that was... ), but I thought it might be worth bringing up. Hope you feel better soon!

Not to fret Sakura... your well wishes and points all made sense in the end!

No, I think my knee is just a 'foot on the break pedal transmiting force of impact up into the knee' type thing. It's a little tender along the rim of the lower inside edge of my kneecap, but otherwise seems fine. My chiropractor (who I just saw an hour ago) says I'm in good shape and should just make it in another time or two this week if I can. I was definately carrying some tension in my mid-upper back and was jammed up a bit there, and my nerve zone was shot because of all the associated stress, but he felt that everything was clearing up well. I may still hit up the health center for some muscle relaxants tomorrow, but I seem to be OK.

As afr as practicing, Janelle and I used to compete together and decided to reprise our old comp routines for our local collegiate comp coming up on March 6. We only started working on this a week and a half ago, so didn't really have any time to spare... aside from that, however, I think that psychologically I needed to be on the floor practicing with her just to help get myself out of shock and to focus on something else aside from the accident (especially as the financial ramifications thereof are going to hit me really hard).

Anyway, thanks again for the concern and the information...

8) That's exactly what I would have done, SD!
When all else fails........keep dancing  !

"You know you're addicted to dancing when... "

- You don't sleep very well because your feet are always moving. And the routines are flying around in your head and WILL NOT go away.

- You teach every family members your routines, even though they aren't that interested.. and are finding it hard to follow.

- You can put a dance move to almost every beat in a song.

- You cannot LISTEN to a song without moving your feet to the beat, and imaging yourself dancing to it on stage.

- Your every dream and desire is about performing.

:)

Ha, ha...I've got a new one...the other night I saw a classical pianist play and, despite being awestruck by his talent and the beautiful music, I kept thinking, hmm...what dance could I dance to that and oh, that would be a beautiful waltz and, worsestill, gee I wish I'd learned ballet as a kid! :)
