In regards to the perks...it would be nice to see something in between $5 and $75...e.g., for $30, a digital copy...for $50, a paperback copy...etc.
I'd love to contribute, but $5 doesn't seem very much, and $75 is way beyond my budget. Something in the range of $20-$30 would be ideal, IMO.

Very exciting indeed madmaximus, and wishing you the best moving forward with the project. Looks like it will be fantastic, and I can't wait to see it in print.

Thank you SD for the best wishes.

Yeah, the team putting this together has some serious writing and design skills.

Can't wait to see the finished product myself!

Thank you for the suggestion Lioness, I'll bring it up to the team to see if they could come up with something for that bracket.

They're swamped right now trying to wrap-up so the website can go live.

This is exciting! You have an ambitious delivery time table, good luck! A few quick questions.

What will be the retail price when the book is released?
Will the book be available in electronic format? If not, are there any plans to make that a stretch goal?
Will the book be available through distributors or only through the website?

Also, if it's not too personal to ask, why be anonymous?

BTW as I've mentioned here when we have 100 books funded, we will offer the student pricing too (has to do with a book printer's offer).

Yeah it's a push for the date, but I have a good starting number of essays, a good outline, and we are all very familiar with the subject.
The main concern is actually the printing schedule, which will be done during the busiest time of the year.

The current pricing model starts at $90 retail (additional bundling of materials might change that--recognizing too, that proceeds will go to help build Metroleta.Com, a project to help children and teachers).

This equates to the cost of a 1.5 private lesson with a National or higher level teacher (personally, I think the book will be equivalent to over 30 private lessons focused exclusively on this subject).

Will the book be available in electronic format? If not, are there any plans to make that a stretch goal?
No, the book will not be available in electronic format.

This was a long hard decision to make---but in the end, we simply did not want to deal with intellectual piracy.

We were originally planning an electronic companion book, but for now, based on feedback here and from others, that idea has been nixed.

Some stretch goals we're evaluating are offering additional video production and animation, a hardcover special edition, and perhaps a collection of excerpts in book form for the $20-50 bracket---but all of these are still under review.

We're looking into a mechanism where you can register your book and get online access to additional materials we might develop (like additional diagrams, workbooks, training plans, etc.)

Will the book be available through distributors or only through the website?
Probably both---we're not sure yet, the team is reviewing advantages of both.

Also, if it's not too personal to ask, why be anonymous?

You HAVE noticed my avatar, right ? :)

Just to clarify... the book is on international standard correct?

Yes debmc, International Modern/Standard style.

While it is intended as a technical reference for Closed Position Movement, some aspects ARE useful for American Smooth.
