    So what are you wearing?

For lessons and Practicas, I often wear flats and trousers as I frequently required to lead. At Milongas I ususally wear a skirt, hopefully something swishy and heels. Regina is a favourite fit for small, narrow feet. For festivals I get fancier... Bright flowers seem to attract attention!

TTanguero, I love how you expressed your feelings about the essence of AT. Wonderfully said! I would like to share a poem written by Zaynab Mohammed at my request. She knew nothing of AT but I gave her my rant and this is what she came up with. I find it very beautiful... if a tad lofty ...

    Not my day!

I have experienced this, self-doubt, general weirdness, no one I know, blah blah blah. And recognize sometimes it is just tiredness .. so put on my shoes and wait awhile. Find the best dancers and watch them, I've learned so much.. Then after a while I get a cabeco and once on the dance floor...

Are followers in smaller communities pickier?

You can announce yourself by contacting the host for the event usually through their FB page. I have done this several times successfully in addition to finding a billet with a local. I actually live in a village but drive 96 km once or twice a week to tango. I stay overnight. I also host...

Are followers in smaller communities pickier?

If the behaviour is consistent that the followers are 'unfriendly' I suggest he look at himself, and perhaps in particular his clothing, grooming and oral health and hygiene. AS a 5'3" follow, my head is sometimes level with your mouth and your armpits. Another suggestion might be that this...

Taxi Dancers included Colombia Tango Festival

I'm going to google that old film! Regarding the history of tango in Bs.As. and indeed there were sooo many men to so few women and there were so few jobs for women so it was one of ways honest women could earn a living without prostitutiong themselves. Like to recommend a book: The Gods of...
