    In Montreal, some schools will let non-tango dancers attend a milonga for free in the hopes that the attendees will decide to learn tango at their school. You might try to find out if your community has schools like that.

    Does the school have a milonga (tango dance party)? If so, can you attend one and watch? I assume most of the dancers are his students. Does the teacher dance in the milonga? Are the couples stepping to the beat of the music? Do the couples collide? Do the dancers swing their feet around...
