I'd do American rumba or tango but the accent on the odd beats favors tango

Tango, American Rumba or a Cha Cha:


I like it best for Tango though... feels like it fits the mood of the song better, even if the tempo is a bit slow for it at about 115 bpm.

Oh my goodness...that is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! And I would go for tango, then Rhythm Rumba. Only a tiny portion of the song says cha cha to me.

I know! It apparently was a hit in Europe... just never quite made it stateside. Love the sound of it.

The lyrics are rather melancholic...which makes it more appropriate for tango in my opinion...

She sings of dancing with the night and the wind and flying away...the first line she sings, "o ma douce souffrance" means "oh my sweet pain"...so you can imagine the rest of the song.

Without checking the BPM, it's more Rumba/Cha-Cha-Cha than it is Samba.

Nightclub 2step would be the only one I'd dance to that. Its about 70bpm. I wouldn't have a clue how to jam a slow waltz into that time signature (which sounds very 4/4 to me.) But I'm exhausted and have taking sleeping pills, so I may be totally wrong. Would feel very wrong for a bolero to me as well even beyond the tempo issues.
