On an ET segment, Mel and Maks said they would samba.


Do you think Sabrina can rumba well? She'll be out of her element and have to use her extension and flexibility instead of power and speed.

The samba will challenge Marie, and I predict she and Mark will be at the bottom 2. As to who will go, if their scores will be close, it may come down who is more likable to the viewers. Mark has been very likable, but Marie likes to crack jokes a lot, and if she blurts out something annoying, then she may go. I believe Mel's bottom 2 status last time was due to her personality just not being endearing enough. Mel should do much better in a Latin dance and avoid the bottom 2 next week.
 
Thanks for those updates, two left feet. I'm looking forward to an entertaining evening tomorrow as one of the millions of competition judges :D. I certainly hope that the choice of music this week will be a little better than last.
 
I'm not sure that Jennie can pull off a samba. Unless Derek works magic like his sister, I'm afraid for her this week. Not sure Mark or Marie can pull off a samba either....should be interesting!

Is it tomorrow yet?! Cant wait!

any idea if Max and Yulia might make one last TV appearance on DWTS before he takes of his dancing shoes for good? There was a note on their website at one point that the would be on DWTS.

Yes, welcome, msFB! I certainly hope they appear on DWTS. I remember when they announced they would be on it last season. I was so excited...and then it never happened. Wonder if DWTS taped it and saved it for another season. How ironic would that be if they did it this season or the next?
 
Thanks for the welcome! I've lurked on and off for a while. I have been such a fan of M&Y since I saw them on the first America's Ballroom Challenge on PBS in 2006 . That's when they did "The Beat" for their show dance. I would have loved to have seen that in person. But I digress from the topic at hand. I'm rooting for a different Max on DWTS, Max C and Mel B. I love his dancing.
 
Thanks for the compliment, MsFB! And thanks for mentioning the news about Max & Yulia. They performed in Chicago last year, and now I feel like a total jerk for not going to see them.

Based on their calendar, it looks like the best chances for Max & Yulia to perform on DwtS would be October 30 or November 13. The DwtS producers are fools if they don't try to book M&Y on the show for a final performance.

I never heard why M&Y didn't perform as planned on DwtS last season, but the show's on such a tight schedule that they wouldn't have filmed a performance and not aired it same night. Anp -- do we need to start a petition to try and get them on DwtS?
 
I just saw Yulia & Ricardo perform Sat. night in the show at an Arthur Murray comp. so maybe if she goes on DWTS now it would be with Ricardo?
 
Unless they taped it from before when she and Max were supposed to perform. Honestly, I dont care WHO she dances with so long as its her. lol!

MOIB: yes! a petition! lol!
 
Unfortunately, even if they do perform on the show, we will end up missing a lot of it because the camera spends so much time focused on the singers! Who want to see the singers anyway. Show us the dancers !
