And back to the topic at hand ...
Amen, sister. 8)
I believe our friend was going to call the dance school and see how it goes. Not many guys dare to do that. Usually when we tell them to take lessons, they dissapear!

 Courageous and smart man you are, phatmonky. Thanks for taking this wise decision.
Come on lads. Let's pep the young man!
Twilight Elena
I called several dance studios this morning, but my schedule apparently does not fall in the same timeline as theirs' (no answer, but this was at 9am and I didn't have a chance to try again)
So, tomorrow, when I a more open day, I will be trying again. I also appreciate the idea of calling clubs to see if they offer such classes - hadn't considered that one
My studio doesn't open up until 11 or 12am, so don't get dissapointed. If you tried calling this evening, I'm sure you'd get answered.
Most studios offer a first-lesson for free tryout so that you can see if you like it and so on. It's a very good idea to take those first lessons with many different studios to see what fits you, both financially and (most importantly) dancewise.
So in all this hijacked issue ( ) I haven't understood what style of dancing you're going after. Ballroom? Salsa? Hip-hop/jazz? That said, I've heard it's a neat idea to do salsa lessons at clubs. I don't think that's possible with ballroom, and I have absolutely no idea about hip hop and jazz, though other Dfers will be glad to inform you.
Good luck with your studio searching,
Twilight Elena
