Manhattan Amateur Classic (MAC) 2005

Kitty - is that the only shot of you??? Well, your shoulders look nice and even!

Katherine - nice shots, too. How was the lighting in this place? The white dresses look pretty flat, but then again, I'm not a big fan of white dresses...not even on brides!

Love the blue dress, Kitty....errr, Chris...I think I gave you my measurements once upon a time

I didn't realize you did latin as well. That's a really cute shot of you - is that a dress or a 2 piece outfit you have on?

the blue outfit is not a dress - it is a full circle skirt and a leotard.
It is very pretty and classy, but unfortunately
1) on the actual dance floor it looks too dark, not as bright as on pictures,
2) it makes the lower back arch very visible. Not like my black gown.

The latin outfit is a skirt and a black top.

I like latin, but my partner doesn't want to do it anymore because he prefers standard (and me too actually) and thats all we practice. He feels silly dancing latin at comps without actually preparing - he doesn't see the point and I totally understand him. So we can dance latin but all we practice is standard because we don't want to spread our efforts too wide.

Anyway, we danced bronze latin at MAC.

probably depends on the occasion.
Natural curve is pretty, but in standard if butt is sticking out (not due to natural curve, but due to bending of lower back) that results in an ugly gap between partners - thats not pretty at all.
