Actually, I'm now moving towards explicitly alternating classes, one style each month. May was nuevo month, June is going to be Trad month.I,m fed up of the trad vs nuevo attitude..
Excellent, that's my playlist sorted for the weekender in Sussex then.from now on Garage Tangotm is going to be the in-thing..the music is going to Grunge, Thrash- Metal, the Cure, PiL, the Fall, Cocteaus, Led Zep and Hendrix, early Pink Floyd, Howlin Wolf, a bit of dub, and some RAP...

It makes things easier, because I can focus on more nuevo-y concepts in the nuevo classes (pivots, dissociation, balance etc.), and then focus on more salon-y concepts in the salon classes (posture, embrace, musicality and so on).

So, we've seen that tango movements can be danced to non-tango music, and in fact, to no music at all (what was it, poetry?).
Maybe we need another acronym BIIT: But Is It Tango.
