You Know you are Addicted to Dancing when...

when you have an advanced degree and a fine income and still work a very modest job that requires you to get up at 3am b/c it offsets your expenses and doesn't interfere with your lessons, practice, or comp time

Well its not forever

You are very keen and I commend you :cool:, and it won't be forever. I am sure you get great satisfaction from your results and it may pay good dividends in the future. But you are very keen because I could not do it.

well thanks ...and I have to say this...b/c this particular task is quite menial, it has re-introduced me to the world of being treated like dirt...and I think that keeps me pretty grounded...and I really can't complain b/c I have my counseling gig on the side...its only one day a week that I have to do this particular thing...shrug...it keeps the budget in line
 
When the person scheduling you at Latest Job asks "Do you have a day off? As in a day you don't work? Do you want one?" and you just can't really say yes. Because you need the money for dancing.
 
You know you're addicted to dancing...

-When you go to the dance store to do your shoe shopping.

-You have more dance shoes than regular heels.
 
oooh boy...I own two pairs of regular heels...and five pairs of dance shoes. Only because I'm always out dancing at the times when I might wear reguar heels. At least, that's what I like to tell myself.
 
You know you're addicted when you spend the whole day at a competition the day before your college final, of course takes huge amount of study material and spread them over 2 seats to study at the comp.

I have seen that at the last comp I went too, people doing homework in between events. I am just addicted regardless, have to stop myself promoting to everyone I speak to otherwise they may think it is a religion ;-)

..When you slip in the shower, falling badly on the edge of the bath, and your first thought is, 'Mum won't let you go dancing if she thinks you're hurt. Pretend that didn't hurt! You're fine! Stop being a woos!'

Or maybe that's stupidity? I do have a lovely bruise though.. I might be able to photograph it and turn it into some kind of art..
