Wow. You still have that steam system? I recall the one that was in the old building (circa 1910) in the high school I went to. Talk about clunky. Banging, gurgling, hissing, cold radiators here and there, and the occasional random blast of steam from the bleeders were par for the course.

Yup. Still have steam. And all those noises.

In theory I can appreciate the concept of seizing an un-anticipated opportunity... not so much in practice, when that "opportunity" is trying to pitch some MLM lipstick product to me while we happen to be in the same dressing room.

No, I wasn't there this year. I live very close, however, and kept on trying to come and spectate. Life conspired to prevent it, however.

I was not, this happened at the studio. It was another student, not someone I would have expected this from.

It's better today. Still coughing now and then, and my upper chest still feels a bit like I've inhaled a lot of smoke. But I was able to do some things around the house today without getting winded. And it doesn't hurt to swallow anymore. Going to try to do a lesson tomorrow -- partner is going to be out of town for the rest of the week due to a family matter, so this will be the only opportunity, and we need to get some time in after having to miss last week due to weather.
