OK, so here's a pretty petty and seemingly minor issue: my shampoo seems to no longer exist.
For decades, I've been using Alberto VO5, Normal. I always bought it at CVS and its predecessors. Now suddenly it's nowhere to be seen. I tried Walgreens and got the same results.
First question is whether that shampoo has actually gone out of existence.
Second question is, assuming it still exists, where can I find it?
Third question is, assuming it no longer exists, what suitable substitute is there?

If you wonder what kind of hair care and conditioning I require, just regard my avatar photo from about 1.5 decades ago. My hair then was excessively shaggy -- nowadays I get my hair cut at least once a month, 2 on the sides and 3 on the top (because 4 left it too shaggy). And I do not want anything scented.

Try looking on their website to see where it's sold. It seems like I've seen it at Meijer and Kroger. Or you could try Amazon.
 
Whining this morning...I have a cold...am congested, have a runny nose, and am sneezing...I am leaving work early to go home and sleep...:(
 
The price per bottle isn't bad - although I think I've seen it for $1 - but the $6 shipping cost is awfully high. :(

Another idea might be to try Wal-Mart or some of the dollar stores. And when you find it, stock up.
 
I feel your pain @DWise1 - I swear, every time I find a shampoo or hair product I like, it gets discontinued within a couple years.

My whine... my skin seems to be getting more sensitive as I get older. Clothing and jewelry that was never a problem is now leaving red irritated marks on my skin (not flaming red, but definitely noticeable to me). Happened last night with a halter top and bracelet that I've owned for years. Not the only example, just seems to be happening more often these days.

Might be contact dermatitis with something. When I get it, hydrocortisone cream usually clears it up within a few days.

Is anything different in your environment? Have you changed lotion, perfume, soap or laundry detergent? Is anything new, like gardening or a pet? Might be worth a trip to your doctor or dermatologist.
 
Not really a whine, just sad...so I dressed up for the studio's holiday party...and sat though 3 hours of holiday showcase routines interspersed with social dancing...and not one person asked me to dance...and I had only one nice conversation with one person...oh, and yes, I ended up sitting by myself most of the evening, too...I finally got up and left early...

...I bought an expensive ticket to the New Year's Eve party, and I'm thinking of not going...don't think a refund is an option... if it were an option, I'd pay for someone to go with me...

...Am not discussing this with pro...last time we had a similar conversation, he said it was my fault for, more or less, being socially inept...

No, it isn't forbidden. However, the leads I feel comfortable asking either 1) weren't there; 2) were there with what appeared to be dates; or 3) were otherwise occupied.
 
I came down with a severe tooth abscess last weekend, so have a root canal to look forward to in the new year, and now I'm having a spectacular reaction to one of the antibiotics I was on. Full body, supremely itchy rash that is hot to the touch. I've spent the last two days doing the benadryl-ice/cold compress-acetaminophen-oatmeal bath cycle and trying not to scratch.

I don't know whether the tooth pain or the itching was/is worse :(
 
My annual disagreement with the rankings in College football .

Every year they get it wrong !!. They even rank teams before they have played ONE game !!.

The only true system is a proper league ( as in soccer ) where each team in its group plays H and A. And yes I know that the powder puff teams most play are warmups, and the small schools get financially rewarded. Not a problem if a set amount was given by the greedy networks who profit on amat labour ( as do the colleges ) .

The final 4 play off is a joke.as .everyone knows it , but nothing essentially ever changes

The other Q I have is; can commentators speak if they sat on their hands ???
