    O2cm banned from NDCA events?

Vegas Open showed us the heats ahead of time as well. And we got to see scores right away. The dancecomp.org app (that pulls info from compmgr I think) does it as well. I wonder if those things were always available, but organizers in the past have chosen not to show them.

    Home Dance Floor Project

Actually put together a greatmats floor - portable dance floor tile. It's not real wood and it's not fancy, but it was relatively cheap, super easy to do, I could put it right over my carpet and I can take it with me if I move. for what i use it for, it's more than adequate!

yeah, not sure how or why it's morphing into a comment on whether pros deserve to make what they make - of course they do! those pros who who do a million heats, get top teacher, etc. etc., they are often some of the best pros around, not some 19 year old who's only certified to teach bronze...

Larinda, I totally get that... the last thing anyone wants is some sort of shady back alley deal. I think there's probably a happy medium. I was sort of agreeing with the other poster who just said that by doing a big thing at the event, it makes the teachers seem like customer, which isn't...

    Top Teacher Awards

This is the crux of it, I think. Bonuses, sales incentives, etc... they should not be done in the arena where the ultimate customer is, as that should be the focus. I raise money for a living in nonprofits. I used to be in sales, so these kinds of things do not phase me. Hell, I used to work...

    Top Teacher Awards

I think someone earlier hit the nail on the head in the sense that professionals know better how to pace themselves and are often dancing down to the am's level, whereas the am is usually performing the most challenging stuff they can currently handle. That involves a much different level of...

    New Swarovski Stones.....

Like I said... I think the difference is really the special glacier blue coating for the capri and meridian blue

    New Swarovski Stones.....

Sorry, it's actually the glacier blue coating and maybe limited edition? (the colors I'm using are meridian glacier blue and capri blue glacier blue) that I think makes them more expensive - from dreamtime crystal AB is 11.67 and the capri is $24.35!!! ugh! That's why we're mixing them in.

    New Swarovski Stones.....

I'm getting a new dress done and we're using mostly 2088s with the glacier blue coating... I about threw up when i saw they're almost twice as expensive as regular 2058s, but man, are they beautiful!!!

    Dance Instructor Dating a Student

You're clearly young - young in your teaching career and well, just young. I would honestly go to your bosses under the auspices of asking for their help and advice. I'm sure EVERY teacher has has experiences like this or similar. you may find if you go to them with "help, this is happening...

Do I need my shoes fixed or is it a weight loss issue?

Yep, it's probably a bit of both! I've lost about 70 pounds in 18 months and it's affected my feet almost an entire whole shoe size!

Do I need my shoes fixed or is it a weight loss issue?

I don't know how often you're in the shoes, but I have to replace my latin shoes about every 9 months, so I can't imagine them still being effective in terms of support, etc for 6 years.
