Looking for a regular dedicated Tango Leader (male 40-50yrs), in Sydney Australia in the Northern Beaches

Don't be so strict, our colleague always has autocorrect turned on. I was jealous of his good fluent English, but now I know his secret.
?strict? lol who said anything about being strict? oh right, sounds like he's secret is copycatting or masking someone else (Nicole), perhaps.

because there is no such dance forum virtual communication area in Sydney Australia
Indeed, there are few forums, and many others that have started have died after a few postings. But regarding dance partner search, have you looked at something like this? There appear to be others as 'sport', and even Facebook groups. It certainly looks more like ballroom for competition, but there seemed to be some AT interest. I have seen others in Europe where the tango school posted dance partner requests.

I'm sure it's not an uncommon request, need and or want with any partner dance styles when wanting to progress further. I have also mentioned it to the co-ordinators/teachers of my current dancing venues. However the scene with regarding to male/hetero are quite a bit older than me, I have no issues with dancing with older men or gay men however in terms of progressing my tango dance technique I really know that I require someone closer to my age range who isn't going to mess around, be a brute towards me, sure I want them to be strong, respectful and determined there's a big difference with being a bully brute and strong determined on the dance floor. I really don't want or need someone who just wants to jerk or push me over or drop me, I really would like someone that is serious about progressing their dance skills and talents within the Tango realm together with a fun free happy attitude. I thought this was an international site forum hence a good way of spreading the word.
Cheers, your comments and suggests are excellent, and some of which I already do do.
xNicolax

Similar in specifying sexuality and marital status?!
Times keep changing. Fifty years ago, a request for same-sex dancing would have been reported with outrage. Now you specify directly what you expect, or you go into difficult individual communication.

Or maybe you have to justify a refusal now and will it no longer be possible to refuse in fifty years?

It's not uncommon. And why not use tools like the internet and appropriate websites? It seems to have become more common than I expected in the fields of sport and competitive dance, but I guess the problem is putting something of yourself out there and being uncertain who it attracts.

 Perhaps I wasn't clear enough: I can only advise against such a specism!

I don't discriminate, at the moment I dance with anyone and everyone, and shall continue to, I'm only putting the word out there that I would actually like to find a regular male leader dance partner to focus on my Tango dance further, should there be another Tango dancer in a similar position, as well as still dancing with everyone. Cheers xNicola

Okay, Nicola, then I will tell: ;)

I ballroom-dated a few times in 2015 via a former German dance partner portal. The effort was relatively high, chatting back and forth, then the ladies want to meet you in a cafe first and you have to find a dance party at a studio. But for a tango beginner's class it was worth it.

During Corona I then made "home visits" twice via a dedicated German Facebook group.
Once a beginner follwer with "real dating experience". Wrong house number, meeting nearby, taking a walk outside, I found it all really amusing.
Once an experienced follower. She just said she has good wooden floor in the living room and I should bring tango music with me.

But nowadays when I'm looking for a training partner within the community, going to a milonga is orders of magnitude more effective. But should I ever be underutilized, the app
https://tangopartner.com/
offers me 600+ followers within a radius of 300km, that sounds quite reassuring.

I think that depends on your tango 'level'. I'd go more for the practica - and questionable what that means in that area, as anywhere else.

Personally I too would avoid those websites, and similar, but it's up to the individual, and I can understand why people do use them. Like life, maybe you're lucky; maybe not. It's just accelerated by using such facilities.

..why? ..had a bad experience..
In my answer I spoke of networking. The regular dance partner is just one of several strategies. Learning to dance is first and foremost social learning, you will learn all the steps and the posture by yourself. Your focus should be the entire local scene. The regular dance partner has the task of presenting you as a social and reliable being to the public. Nothing more or less. With him you have to visite práctikas. At milonga you have to show up alone, whereby you should bake a delicious cake to introduce yourself. For your regular group class, you have to find a beginner below your level. Dance partners are only there for the social aspects, and only for a transitional period. What you have to work out is the pear group. Your future stands and falls with it.
I personally never had bad experiences with a dance partner. As a male leader, I had a choice. The timing is important: as soon as you lose a regular dance partner, you should already have groomed her successor. But in tango, the goal always is to quickly leave the phase behind with that regular dance partner.

Honestly, is there a more terrible tool? The manager does not want to spend money on updates and has not optimized the input form for years. He also gets on my nerves with his bold manner. I unsubscribed after always receiving fake requests. I addressed the sender personally and they were flabbergasted.

Speaking as a man who leads, in the "55 years and up age range":

I do not find it strange that someone would specify the desired age range, marital status, sexual orientation, etc. of a dance partner. Maybe it's different elsewhere, but around here, people will treat the person you show up with as your partner in – ahem – everything. I've had numerous partners who were really, truly just dance partners identified as my wife (ta conjointe), and apparently I'm a polygamist, given the number of people of whom I've been assumed to be the husband (ton conjoint). As rumors will circulate regardless, it makes sense to take steps to ensure that you can live with them.

I also do not find it unusual to have a regular tango partner, not do I find that limiting to my ability to learn and advance. Indeed, it's just the opposite. It's very clear to me that thanks to having a partner of very long association, who has accompanied me through years of lessons and prácticas, I have improved far more than those who started at the same time as I did and who did not have such a steady partner. I suppose if all your self-improvement is at the milonga, it makes sense to dance with lots of people and not just one . . . but I save that for the milonga. The milonga is for enjoying the fruits of your labor as a student, and indeed where you should change partners regularly – however, it's where the lessons and practice pay off, not where you go to learn and practice.

What I do find weird is asking for a partner on a global forum. Tango communities tend to be very local and often isolated. On this forum, I've encountered one person in my community – which is large, with hundreds of dancers active daily, and thousands active annually. I'm not entirely sure who he is in real life, as he uses a pseudonym here. And he's a leader, evidently, so I wouldn't dance with him anyway. I can't imagine this forum being useful for finding partners . . . Every tango community I know of also has one or more Facebook groups (we have so many here that it's mind-boggling), which is where you'd ask that question online.
